Roy Franklin McKenzie

Roy McKenzie departed this life on Monday, March 27, 2017, at the age of 93 years, 9 months, and 4 days. He was born in Chester County, Tennessee on June 23, 1923, the son of the late Reeder and Irma Baker McKenzie. On February 14, 1942, he was united in marriage to Rozelle Pitts, who preceded him in death on August 19, 2002.

Roy served honorably in the United States Navy during W.W.II. He had worked for Brown Shoe Company and retired from the Tennessee Highway Department. He had lived in Milledgeville, Tennessee and was a member of the Milledgeville Church of Christ.

He is survived by his daughter, Monuia Dean Woody; granddaughters, Kym Dean Hall and husband Chuck, and Karen Dean Walls and husband Gary; four great grandchildren; eight great -great grandchildren; and a brother, James McKenzie.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ovid McKenzie.
