Roy Everett Riley was born on September 23, 1937 in Jersey City, New Jersey, the son of the late Roy Erwin and Margaret Hoag Pfotzer Riley.
On August 12, 1956, he was united in marriage to Pollyanna Bogan, who survives.
Mr. Riley worked as a carpenter for Vanderheyden Construction Company. He loved food and was always ready to enjoy a good meal. He also loved gardening and tending to his plants and flowers. Roy took pride in maintaining his beautiful flowers and pond and was even featured in the Courier and Commercial Appeal.
Roy Everett Riley departed this life on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 in Jackson, Tennessee, at the age of 88 years, 9 months, and 1 day.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Pollyanna Riley; daughters, Laura Specie, Cheryll Hargreaves, and Deidre Riley; 2 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Roy was preceded in death by his sisters, Joan Schaffer, Judith Strouse, and Nancy Agner.
