Royce Leyonne Harper

Mr. Royce Leyonne Harper departed this life Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital in Florence, Alabama at the age of 69 Years, 1 Month, 26 Days. He was born May 10, 1942 in Wayne County, Tennessee the son of the late Roy Lee and Mearle Shepard Harper. In addition to his parents, Mr. Harper was preceded in death by brother, James Delbert Harper; sister, Geneieve Stricklin; brothers-in-law, Tom Warrington and Fred Southerland. Mr. Harper was retired from Reynolds Metals and was a member of Scotts Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. He was united in marriage to Carolyn Holt on October 7, 1961.He is survived by wife Carolyn Holt Harper ;son, Keith Harper and wife, Mary Ann; daughter, Angela Flurry and husband, Johnny all of Florence, AL; grandchildren; Chelsey Flurry and Dakota Harper; step-grandchildren, Miranda and Chazz Pate; sister, Marie Southerland of Collinwood, TN; nieces and nephews.Services were Saturday, July 9, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Chapel in Collinwood with Junior Overstreet Steve Barkley officiating. Burial followed in the McGlamery Cemetery at Collinwood with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge.Pallbearers wre David Berry, Tinker Boyd, Sonny Robbins, Ross Pigg, Curtis Pigg, Joel Pigg, and Dakota Harper
