R.T. Prather

R. T. Prather was born November 16, 1910 in McNairy County, Tennessee the son of the late James Claude and Hattie McCormack Prather.He was united in marriage to Laura Faye Gilbert.Mr. Prather was a farmer and a deacon at Falcon Baptist Church for several years.He departed this life on November 13, 2009 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 98 Years, 11 Months, 28 Days. Mr. Prather is survived by two sons, Ray Prather and Franklin Prather and wife Patricia, all of Selmer, TN; two sisters, Ruth Roberts and Lois Johnson, both of Selmer, TN; a brother, Joe Prather of Selmer, TN; 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Prather was preceded in death by two sisters, Pattie Everett Springer and Blanche Griffin; and four brothers: Raymond, Clyde, Ellis, and Walter Prather.
