Ruby Mae Old Armstrong

Mrs. Ruby Mae Old Armstrong departed this life on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at the home of her son in Pulaski, TN., at the age of 97 Years, 8 Months, 29 Days. She was born January 4, 1920 in Waynesboro, TN the daughter of the late William Pryce and Nona Belle Meredith Old.
She was united in marriage to George Joseph Armstrong on March 29, 1941. Mr. Armstrong preceded her in death on January 4, 1986.
Mrs. Armstrong was retired with International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers as an administrative assistant . She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Florence, Alabama
She is survived by son, Joseph Gary Armstrong, wife Beth of Pulaski, TN., grandchildren, Emily Carol Isley ,husband Jason, Ashley Cecelia Armstrong, John Lee Joseph Armstrong ,wife Anna, Allison Angeline Rehnborg, husband Ryan, 3 great grandchildren, nieces Lynn Biskup, husband Joel, Charlotte Godfrey, husband John, Gloria Fling Tuck, nephew, Michael Pryce Fling, wife Joy.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Armstrong was preceded in death by daughter, Carolyn Old O'Connor, sisters, Mary Lou Biskup and Lavena Monte Fling.
Mrs. Armstrong was buried on Wednesday, October 4, 2017, 3:00 pm Shields Cemetery, Waynesboro, Tennessee . Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of the arrangements.
