Ruby Demova Brewer

Ruby Demova Harris Brewer was born on July 25, 1908, to the late May Augusta Harris and Ida Leona Plunk Harris. She was united in marriage to Robert Kermit Brewer on July 30, 1933. Mr. Brewer preceded her in death on March 13, 1993.



Mrs. Brewer was a retired supervisor for Garan Sportswear in Adamsville. She also had been a teacher and seamstress. She was a member of Better Hope Primitive Baptist Church, a former Auxillary Volunteer at the McNairy Hospital, and a F. C. E. Club member.



Mrs. Brewer passed from this life on Saturday, February 28, 2009, at McNairy Regional Hospital in Selmer at the age of 100 years, 7 months, and 3 days.



Survivors are her daughter Myrna Brewer Treece and husband Adell of Selmer and her son Cazmo Brewer and wife Jo Ann of Aurora, Illinois; one sister, Inez Treece of Selmer; one brother, Lewis Harris and wife Byrd of Nettleton, Mississippi; five grandchildren, Greg Treece and wife Gale of Selmer, Pam Treece Bassett of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, Kathy Treece Emery of Memphis, Kim Treece Robertson of Como, Mississippi, Dennis Scott Brewer of Little Port, England; four great-grandchildren, Al Robertson of Como, Mississippi, Matthew Collier of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, Sarah Treece of Selmer, Todd Treece of Selmer; a special niece, Ouida Mai Lott, who worked, played, laughed, and cared for Mrs. Brewer.



A host of other relatives and friends.



Other than her parents and husband, Mrs. Brewer was also preceded in death by siblings Effie Parker, Ruth Cobb, Hobart Harris, Urbane Harris, Roy Harris, and Delma Ray Harris. Also preceded by a great-grandson Adam Robertson.
