Ruby Dennis

Ruby Nell Benson Wilkerson Dennis was born March 30, 1933 the daughter of the late Willie and Hattie Weaver Benson. 

She was first united in marriage to Arthur Wilkerson (who is also the father of her children), and then later to Andrew Dennis, both preceded her in death. 

In her earlier years she worked as a motel manager and then as a Certified  Nursing Assistant at Hardin County Nursing Home. In her later years, she was a homemaker. Ruby attended First Assembly of God and Church of God. She was of the pentecostal belief.  Ruby enjoyed singing gospel music and playing the keyboard. She also enjoyed gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family.

Ruby was granted her wings on April 3, 2023 at the age of 90 years and 3 days.

She is survived by her children Margaret Benson, Irene (Billy Jo) Hurley, Dennie (Mary Ann) Wilkerson, Daniel 'Pete" (Judy) Wilkerson, and Mary (Dannie) Frazier; sisters, Marie Cook of Savannah, Tennessee and Jo Ann Toole of Panama City, Florida; brothers, Willie Ray Benson and Jimmy Benson both of Savannah, Tennessee; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

In addition to her parents and late husbands, Ruby was preceded in death by one son, James Wilkerson; sister, Hazel Deshazier; and brother, Junior Benson.
