Ruby Gray was born June 11, 1919 in Hardin County, Tennessee the daughter of the late Luther and Mary Hollingsworth Ferrell.She was united in marriage to Samuel Gilbert Gray. Mr. Gray preceded her in death on March 27, 1965. Mrs. Ruby Gray, a lifelong Hardin Countian, retired from Brown Shoe Company and was a member of New Life United Pentecostal Church. She enjoyed yard work, gardening, canning, sewing, and quilting. Mrs. Gray departed this life on November 1, 2011 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 92 Years, 4 Months, 21 Days.She is survived by two daughters, Bonnie Faye Walker of Johnsburg, IL, Betty Jo Perry and husband William R. Perry, Jr. of Richmond, IL; two sons, Joe S. Gray and wife Faye of Savannah, TN, Robert Lee Gray and wife Peggy of Savannah, TN; 11 Grandchildren, 12 Great Grandchildren, 3 Great Great Grandchildren; and two sisters, Lucille Hunt of Savannah, TN, Mae Akers of Momence, IL. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Gray was preceded in death by three sons, Billy Mack Gray, Bobby Royce Gray, Donnie R. Gray; a brother, Frank Ferrell; and three sisters, Edna Lee Thompson, Jo Kate Overton, Maudie Ferrell; and a son-in-law, James Walker.
