Henderson, TN: Mary Ruby Smith Wright, age 95, died June 18, 2009 at Chester County Healthcare.
She was born and reared in Chester County, at Enville, the daughter of the late John Lee and Sarah Weatherington Smith. She attended schools in Chester County and in 1932 was married to Travis P. Wright of Enville. They made their home at Enville all their married life. She was employed by H.I.S. Sportswear in Saltillo for several years. Mr. Wright died in 1988. She made her home at Enville and Heritage Towers prior to going to the Chester County Healthcare in 1999. She was a member of the Enville Pentecostal Church.
She is survived by one son, Harold Wayne Wright of Enville; three daughters, Demova Hutcherson of Henderson, Jo Ann Patterson of Jackson and Sylvia Kelly of Henderson; a sister, Jimmie Davis of Enville;14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Travis P. Wright in 1988; a son, Max Ray Wright in 2004; 4 brothers, Hulon Smith, Alvin Smith, Luther Smith and Robert Smith and 5 sisters, Edna Ellis, Lessie Johnson, Eva Spencer, Ruth Morris and Geraine Smith.
