Russell Coats

RUSSELL COATSwas born in McNairy County, Tennessee on April 14, 1927 the son of the late Thomas Reed and Gracie Pearl Younger Coats.Mr. Coats was united in marriage for 54 years to Jeana Sue Fletcher, who preceded her husband in death on February 27, 2003.Mr. Coats was a facilities manager for 30 years for F. Silverman and Sons. He was a United States Navy Veteran. Mr. Coats was a member of First United Methodist Church in Adamsville, Tennessee, member of Mason in Clifton, Tennessee and the Civitan Club in Clifton, Tennessee. Mr. Coats was a natural born mechanic, he built mechanical Christmas ornaments. He enjoyed fishing and loved to be outdoors. Mr. Coats departed this life on November 9, 2011 at the Hardin Medical Center in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 84 years, 6 months and 26 days.He is survived by one daughter, Sharon Coats of Savannah, Tennessee and one son, Ron Coats and his wife Kay of Oak Ridge, Tennessee1 grandchild, John Christopher Coats and one great grandchild, Madison Leigh Coats2 sisters, Gail Smith of Germantown, Tennessee and Hazel Palmer of Adamsville, TennesseeIn addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by 2 sisters, Helen Coats and Marie Easley and 3 brothers, Dorris, Henry and Ernest Coats
