Ruth M. Allison

Ruth M. Allison was born August 21, 1926 the daughter of the late Edgar Cleveland and Jennie Ann Hardin Matlock.She was united in marriage to William T. Allison on May 7, 1949. Mr. Allison preceded her in death on February 17, 1994.Mrs. Allison loved her family, children, grandchildren and great gandchildren. She was a member of the Good Hope Baptist Church in Adamsville, Tennessee.Mrs. Allison departed this life on October 15, 2012 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 86 Years, 1 Month, 24 Days. She is survived by two sons, Ray Allison and wife Pam of Bethel Springs, TN, Neal Allison of Selmer, TN; a daughter, Ruth A. Johnson and husband Gary of Corinth, MS; a brother, Wilson Matlock and wife Genell of Bethel Springs, TN; five grandchildren, Michael Johnson and wife Amy, Brian Johnson and wife Emily, Andy Allison and wife Sarah, Mark Allison, Kelly Jones and companion Brian Ferguson; eight great grandchildren, John William (Jake) Johnson, Baileigh Johnson, Chase Johnson, Matthew Ward Johnson, Cailyn Johnson, Kooper Jones, Mary Ellis Johnson, Marcy Anna Allison; host of extended family and friends.In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Allison was preceded in death by two sisters, Tressie Griswell, Mildred Griswell; five brothers, John, H.T., J.R., J.C., and Harold Matlock.
