Mrs. Baker passed away Tuesday night, January 4, 2011 at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth, MS.



The widow of Kenneth Ross Baker, who died November 21, 1991 after 42 years of marriage, she retired as an assembly worker at Harmon. She was born November 21, 1928 to John Thomas Sykes and Tullie Ola Duncan Sykes and lived most of her life here. She was a member of Hebron Baptist Church. Her family stated that she was a seamstress and good homemaker.



She is survived by two daughters, Pat Kennedy of Middleton and Satha Russell of Summerfield, FL; two sons, Kenneth Michael Baker and Mark Baker, both of Lockport, LA; three sisters, Margie Maxwell and Mary Howell, both of Middleton and Sue Russell of Bolivar; four brothers, Gerald Sykes of Bolivar, Howard Sykes of Noonan, GA, Joe Sykes of York, PA and Bob Sykes of Athens; 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Bill, Buster and Ed Sykes; and a sister, Eugenia Bryant.
