Ruth Childers

RUTH CHILDERSwas born in Mississippi on December 14, 1926 the daughter of the late Frank and Golda May Owens Mathis.In 1940 she was united in marriage to Henry Clay Childers, who preceded his wife in death on April 5, 2000.Mrs. Childers worked for Hagy Foods. She enjoyed quilting and cooking. Mrs. Childers spent her life caring for her family.She departed this life on July 23, 2010 at the age of 83 years, 7 months and 9 days.Mrs. Childers is survived by one daughter, Maebell Meeks of Michie, Tennesseeone son, Jim Henry Childers of Michie, Tennessee2 grandchildren, Anthony Meeks and Jason Meeks2 great grandchildren, Landon Clay Meeks and Lili Meeksone brother, Dewey Wayne Mathis of Adamsville, TennesseeIn addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, William and Archie Mathis
