Ruth Easley Cook
was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on June 17, 1931 the daughter of the late Edwin Louie and Eunice Scott Easley.
She was united in marriage to Cecil Earl Cook, November 1948, he preceded her in death on August 14, 1993.
Mrs. Cook worked as the Cafeteria Manager at Nixon Elementary before retiring. She had also worked for Garan and Savannah Manufacturing as a seamstress. She loved to crochet, arts and crafts, and going to Maywood Christian Camp. She was a member of Mt. Zion Church of Christ.
Mrs. Cook departed this life on Thursday, November 12, 2009 at the age of 78 years, 4 months, 26 days.
She is survived by 3 daughters, Rhonda Cook, Lesia Arnold, Freda Smith and husband James all of Savannah, Tennessee; 3 sons, Bobby Cook and wife Kim, Freddy Cook and wife Joyce all of Savannah, Tennessee, Calvin Cook of Jackson, Tennessee; a sister, Barbara Sue Brown of Savannah, Tennessee; 4 brothers, Doyle Easley, Scottie Easley, Leon Easley, and Billy Easley all of Savannah, Tennessee; 9 grandchildren, Roxann Johnson, Bubba Cook, Jamie Smith, Charlie Cook, Christopher Cook, Cecile Cook, Michael Cook, Korey Goodman, and Kayla Goodman; 4 great-grandchildren, Annie Cook, Stephanie Cook, Emma Ann Johnson, and Haley Cook.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Cook was preceded in death by, 2 brothers, Ronnie Easley and Louie Easley; a grandson, Jason Carl Smith.
