Mrs. Ruth Bell Cummins (Ma) Heard departed this life on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at Waynesboro Health and Rehabilitaion Center in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 94 Years, 2 Months, 1 Day. She was born December 11, 1922 in Collinwood, TN the daughter of the late Newton and Sarah Emmaline Banks Cummins. In addition to her parents, Mrs Heard was preceded in death by husband Clarence Heard, 2 sons, 1 daughter, 4 grandchildren, 4 brothers, 3 sisters

Mrs. Ruth was a homemaker . She was a member of the South Highland Church of Christ .

She is survived by sons, John D. Heard and wife Darlene , Jimmy Heard and wife Willie , Richard Heard and wife Marvelle and Raymond Heard all of Collinwood, TN., daughters, Bobbie Heard and Lillie Jean Allen both of Waynesboro, TN., 9 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, brother, Jim Cummins of Collinwood, TN.

Services will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Home in Collinwood, Tennessee, with David Dowdy officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens , Collinwood, Tennessee

Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 15, 6:00-9:00 pm and Thursday, February 16, 9:00 am until service time @ Shackelford Funeral Home, Collinwood, TN
