Ruth Elaine Hurst Moore

Ruth Elaine Hurst Moore was born December 10, 1928 in Stantonville, TN the daughter of the late John David and Bonnie Blakely Hurst.

She was united in marriage to James Tilman Moore on December 21, 1946. Mr. Moore preceded her in death on September 24, 2007, following 60 years of marriage.

Mrs. Moore was a well known interior designer/decorator and successful sales associate for Home Interiors for more than 30 years. She enjoyed cooking for and entertaining others; her gift and that of her husband was hospitality and friendliness. Although she had no natural children, she loved her nieces and nephews as if they were her own. Mrs. Moore was a lifelong member of Center Ridge Pentecostal Church of God in Bethel Springs.

Mrs. Moore departed this life on September 12, 2018 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 89 Years, 9 Months, 2 Days. She is survived by her beloved nieces and nephews, and many extended family and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by a sister, Maxine (Hurst) Isbell. Mrs. Moore was also preceded in death By Ernest Isbell, whom she loved like a brother.
