Ruth Barnett-Snarr

Ruth Barnett-Snarr, 94, born September 18, 1929 in Madison County, Ohio to George and Easter Edwards, passed away in Hardin County, Tennessee on August 15, 2024.

In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husbands, Jack A. Barnett and Loren Snarr; sisters, Louise Gartin and Juanita Griffith; and brothers, Donald Edwards and Kenneth Edwards.

She is survived by her four sons, Tom Barnett (Charlene) of Dublin, Ohio, Jerry Barnett (Sandy) of North Port, Florida, Jack Barnett, Jr. (Diana) of Rusken, Florida, and Kenneth "Bobby" Barnett (Tammy) of Crump, Tennessee; 9 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.

Ruth grew up in Madison County, Ohio where she raised her children then graduated from Nationwide Beauty Academy. She enjoyed working at several salons and later relocated to Big Pine Key, Florida where she owned a hair salon.

She became interested in music, oil painting, and the art of stained glass and became accomplished at all three.

She later relocated to Crump, Tennessee where she invested in rental properties, but continued her art interest.

Ruth served as a positive influence to so many people in her lifetime and will be missed very much and was loved by many!
