Ruth Tharpe

Ruth Tharpe was born September 17, 1915 in Waynesboro, Tennessee the daughter of the late John F. and Rachael Louella Dixon Ray. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Tharpe was preceded in death by her husband Austin Tharpe; 5 brothers and 3 sisters. Mrs. Tharpe departed this life Friday, July 8, 2011at Hendersonville Medical Center in Hendersonville, Tennessee at the age of 95 Years, 9 Months, 21 Days. Mrs. Tharpe, a homemaker and factory worker, was a member of First Baptist Church in Hendersonville. She is survived by a daughter, Ann Inman and husband Dave of Hendersonville, TN; three grandchildren, Kim Rush and her husband Jeff, Vincent Riley, and Stephanie Belt; three great grandchildren, Emily Rush, Zac Rush, and Anderson Belt; A Graveside Service will be held 1:00 PM Monday, July 11, 2011 at the North Highland Cemetery in Waynesboro, Tennessee with Lawrence Steiner officiating. Burial will follow services with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
