Services for Sallie Lucille Wright, age 86, will be held Saturday, July 25, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Chapel in Waynesboro with Carl Lindsey officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens at Collinwood with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Wright died at Grace Healthcare in Franklin Tennessee, on July 3, 2009. She was the eldest daughter of Rosie and Frank Tripp. Born August 29th, 1922 on Indian Creek in Wayne County Tennessee. She was an antiques dealer in Ferndale Michigan and resided there for many years, and was baptized in the Church of Christ in Detroit Michigan. She was an avid shopper and loved to dine with friends. She was expert at cooking, sewing and gardening among other things. She was a generous person and very devoted to her family and friends. She is survivied by a daughter, Linda Anne Barnes of Franklin, TN; son, David Michael Wright of Flint, MI; grandaughter, Melissa Ardelean and a great granddaughter, Allison Ardelean both of Davison, MI: as well as brothers Frank Tripp Jr. of Glendale, AZ and Ronald Dean Tripp of Waynesboro, TN; a sister, Letha Colene Adcock of Glendale, AZ; and a sister-in-law, Eunice Tripp of Sterling Heights, MI. She was predecaesed by husband Arlie E. Wright, brothers Leroy, Raymond and Robert Lee Tripp and a sister, Imogene Burns.
