Sally Adams Lee of Adamsville, TN was born June 7, 1940 in Charleston, MS the daughter of the late Homer Houston Adams and Lillie Lou Crenshaw Adams. She was a retired Teacher and Curriculum Director at the Mississippi School for the Deaf in Jackson, MS.
Mrs. Lee received a Bachelor's Degree from Delta State University and her Master's Degree from the University of Alabama. At Delta State she was a member of the school dance team, the Delta Belles. Although she was deaf, due to her dancing skill and ability, she was often asked to do dance exhibitions. After her retirement from the Mississippi School for the Deaf, Sally enjoyed swimming and doing genealogy research for her family and friends. She moved to Adamsville in 1984 and was a member of the Adamsville First United Methodist Church. She departed this life on March 5, 2017 at her home in Adamsville at the age of 76 Years, 8 Months, 26 Days.
She is survived by her sister, Barbara Napier and husband James of Michie, TN; her husband Russell Edward Lee of Collins, MS; Nieces, Shelly Avery and husband Paul, Christy Adkins and husband Allen, and Nickie Franks and husband Brian; a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lee was preceded in death by a son, Dana Edward Lee on December 29, 2005; and a nephew, Jody Napier.
Funeral services will be held on March 8, 2017 at 11:00 AM at First United Methodist Church in Adamsville, Tennessee, with David Sauer officiating. Burial will follow at 4:30 PM in the Oakland Cemetery at Oakland, Mississippi. Pallbearers will be Josh Hatchell, Josh Dickey, Allen Adkins, Austin Avery, Paul Avery, and Brian Franks.
