Sammie Jack Copeland

Sammie Jack Copelandwas born in Hardin County, Tennessee on June 25, 1935 the son of the late Samuel and Daisy Allison Copeland.On December 1, 1979 he was united in marriage to Patricia Lynn Smith Copeland who survives.Mr. Copeland served time in the United States Air Force from 1957 to 1963. He retired from Hardin County Hospital where he worked as an orderly. He also worked at Pickwick Landing State Park. Mr. Copeland enjoyed hunting, fishing and horse racing. Mr. Copeland departed this life on Sunday, June 3, 2012 at the age of 76 years, 11 months, 9 days.He is survived by his wife, Patricia Copeland of Savannah, Tennessee; five sons, James Copeland of Michigan; Jerry Copeland and wife Michelle of Clifton, Tennessee; Jeff Copeland and wife Kim of Arlington, Tennessee; Joey Copeland and wife Kelly of Arlington, Tennessee; John Copeland of Lafayette, Louisiana; two stepdaughter\'s, Patty Stapleton and husband Jim of Michie, Tennessee; Lisa Lambert of Corinth, Mississippi; one stepson, Greg Lambert and wife Wendy of Morris Chapel, Tennessee; one brother, Bobby Copeland of Savannah, Tennessee; nine grandchildren, six step grandchildren and two great grandchildren.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Louise Copeland and one grandchild, Jolene Copeland.
