Sammie Presley was born on June 1, 1952 in Pocahontas, Arkansas, the son of the late Gladys Miriam Scudder Presley.
On February 14, 1993, he was united in marriage to Debbie Lewis, who survives.
Mr. Presley honorably served his country in the United States Army, where he was a military policeman. He worked for LTV Steel Mill as an equipment operator and for Walmart in loss prevention and management. Sammie was a member of People's Tabernacle Church, Foster Parent Organization, and Muscular Dystrophy Association. He was a Boy Scout leader and volunteer firefighter for Hardin County District 5. Sammie enjoyed riding his golfcart, working outside, camping, and cooking. He would always help anyone in need and dearly loved his children, grandchildren, and his dog, Maya.
Sammie Presley departed this life on November 24, 2023 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 71 years, 5 months, and 23 days.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie Presley of Savannah, Tennessee; sons, Matthew Presley of Navarre, Florida, Connor Presley of Savannah, Tennessee, and Gabriel Presley of Jackson, Tennessee; daughters, Angela Oiler of Napoleon, Ohio and Taylor Presley of Savannah, Tennessee; sister, Sandra Barrett of Independence, Missouri; brothers, Johnny Michael Presley of Eureka, Missouri and Jack Presley of Batesville, Arkansas; grandchildren, Matthew Oiler of Napoleon, Ohio, Nicholas Oiler of Napoleon, Ohio, Marie Ashley Pope of Fairbanks, Alaska, Sammy Presley of Fairbanks, Alaska, Madisyn Presley of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Jessica Sue Presley of Anniston, Alabama; and great grandchildren, Brooke Rollin of Anniston, Alabama, Lucas Rollin of Anniston, Alabama, Delilah King of Fairbanks, Alaska, Rayden Atchison of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Arthur Oiler of Napoleon, Ohio.
In addition to his mother, Sammie was preceded in death by his sister, Karen McGriff.
