SAMUEL (SAM) GARRARDwas born in Hardin County, Tennessee on December 1, 1941 the son of the late William Braxton and Lillie Mae Smith Garrard.Mr. Garrard was Captain for Alter Barge Line. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church. Mr. Garrard loved riding horses and he collected Elvis memorabilia. He departed this life on August 1, 2010 at the Hardin Medical Center in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 68 years and 8 months.Mr. Garrard is survived by one son, Shane Alfred Garrard and one daughter, Shannon Alfreda Garrard, both of Savannah, Tennessee4 grandchildrenone sister, Vannie (Polly) Wolfe and one brother, Melvin Garrard, both of Savannah, TennesseeHe is also survived by a special friend, Diane Rickman and her son Lyn Rickman
