Samuel Lee Graham

Samuel Lee Graham was born December 31, 1945 to the union of William Charles Graham and Minnie Louella Dixon-Graham. He made his transition on Thursday July 30, 2026 at Hardin Medical Center.

Sam confessed Christ at an early age and joined St. John Baptist Church. He was educated in the Hardin County School system and graduated from Dunbar High School. After graduation he attended trade school (Brick Laying) in Paducah, KY and afterwards had many opportunities of employment. His hobbies were Fishing and Hunting.

Sam enlisted in the United States Army in 1967 and served for two and half years which included a one year tour in Vietnam. The following medals were received; National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal w/2 Bronze Stars, Vietnam campaign Medal w/ Device 1960, Sharp Shooter (M14 Auto Rifle), Marksman (M16), 2 OS Bars, Combat Infantryman's Badge.

Sam was such a free hearted person, always willing to go the extra mile, over and above to volunteer and exercise his kindness..”NO” was not in his vocabulary. He will truly be missed by those who knew and loved him.

Sam was preceded in death by his parents, 6 brothers, William Charles Graham Jr. “Bo”, Larry Darnell Graham, Danny Eugene Graham, Elijah Walker “Skipper” Graham, Josh Melvin Graham and Mitchell Lee Graham.

He leaves to cherish his memories 1 Son, Kevin Lee (Elsy) Graham, Las Vegas, NV, a Loving and devoted sister Pearl Frances Thames, Markham, IL, 4 grand children, Rashad, Darrius, Malayah and Kalani, 3 great-grand children, Romona, Kamiya and Josiah. A special niece and nephew Kim and Jeffery Wright, 2 sisters-in law Ruth Graham, Lynwood, IL and Mary Graham, Chicago, IL. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
