Samuel Dewayne Holt

Samuel Dewayne Holt of Florence, AL was born November 21, 1959 in Waynesboro, Tennessee, the son of Betty Ruth Hanvey of Florence, AL and the late Samuel Carter Holt. Mr. Holt was a disabled dye maker with Ford Motor Company. Mr. Holt departed this life on Monday, April 18, 2011 at E. C. M. Hospital in Florence, Alabama at the age of 51 Years, 4 Months, 28 Days.Other than his mother, he is survived by a brother, Marcus Holt of Smyrna, TN; two sisters, Peggy Staggs and Karen Cannon both of Spring Hill, TN; several nieces and nephews.Services will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Home in Collinwood, Tennessee, with Larry Gladley officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens at Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Waynesboro, TN, directing. Pallbearers will be Derek Staggs, Gary Hanvey, Dennis Hanvey, Marcus (Tony) Holt, Eric Hanvey, and Robert Marks.Visitation will be Tuesday, April 19, 2011 from 5:30 pm to 8 pm and Wednesday, April 20, 2011 from 1 pm to service time at the funeral home.
