Samuel E. (Sam) Robison

Samuel (Sam) E. Robison age 88 of Finger, TN passed away June 24, 2013.
Funeral services will be at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel in Henderson, TN, with Pastor Bill Robbins officiating Thursday, 3:00 PM June 27th and burial will follow with Military Honors at Mars Hill Cemetery, Leapwood, TN.
Sam was born October 22, 1924 in Finger, TN to the late Harrison and Molene Webster Robison. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He worked at the Milan Army Ammunition Plant many years and owned and operated the M & M Truck Stop in Henderson, TN for several years.
He was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Millington, TN.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of twenty four years, Lora Agnes Wharton Robison they shared four children; Don Robison (Lilah) of Finger, TN, Frances Clayton (John David) of Bethel Springs, TN, Bobbye Jean McKelvy and Brenda Law of Jackson. He also leaves another daughter, Wanda Acklin of Rison, AR. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Todd Robison, one brother, Hayes Robison and one sister, Irene Robison Myers. He is survived by his wife of forty three years, Glenda Smith Robison and two step daughters, Teresa Russell (Frank) and Vickie Smith (Charles).
He has eighteen grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Survivors also include three brothers, Dennie Robison and Bobby Robison of Finger, TN and Ray Robison of Humboldt and three sisters, Marie Robison Smith of The Woodlands, TX, Jo Lee Robison Mayfield of Henderson and Kate Robison Sanford of Troy, TN
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM Wednesday, June 26, 2013.
