Mrs. Burrus departed this life on Sunday, June 29, 2014 at Bolivar General Hospital.
The wife of Larry David Burruss, who survives, she was a truck driver. Her family states that she loved being a truck driver and was very good at it. She also owned a restaurant in Kentucky. She was born March 24, 1945 in Nashville, daughter of the late James Tate Doyle and Mary Louella Ervin Doyle and lived most of her life in Hardeman County, moving here from Nashville. She married Larry David Burruss in 1981 in Corinth, Mississippi and enjoyed fishing and gardening but received her greatest joy from her family. She was a Catholic in belief.
Memorial services will be scheduled at a later date.
In addition to her husband, survivors include two daughters, Kathy "Susie" Forczek of Lebanon, TN and Brandy Moses of Bolivar; a son, Jimmy Woodard of Lebanon, TN; two brothers, Jimmy Doyle of Donelson and Ronnie Doyle of Springfield; 21 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. The family requests memorials be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
