Sandra Joy Gillis

Sandra Joy Gillis was born on March 4, 1949 in Alabama, the daughter of the late Barney and Leona Hammock Chambers.

On December 7, 1966, she was united in marriage to J P Gillis, who preceded his wife in death on December 24, 2023.

Sandra attended church at Spoken Word Ministries in Savannah, Tennessee.

Sandra Joy Gillis departed this life on Sunday, March 8, 2026 in Savannah, Tennessee, at the age of 77 years and 4 days.

She is survived by her son, Boyce Gillis of Savannah, Tennessee; brothers, Barney Chambers of Savannah, Tennessee and Greg Chambers; sister, Vickie Ritter of Collinwood, Tennessee; grandchildren, Kaylee Paul, Maycee Parmely, Abbie Ritter, and William Ritter; and great grandchild, Blakely Paul.

In addition to her parents and husband, Sandra was preceded in death by her daughter, Veronica Gillis and brothers, Butch Chambers, Ralph Chambers, Mickey Chambers.
