After their marriage, they moved to Chicago, Illinois, where Sandra worked as a secretary in the agricultural department at Dow Chemical Company.

In 1968, Sandra and Jim relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, where they founded Automatic Packaging Machinery, Inc. (APM, Inc.), building both a successful business and a life rooted in hard work and partnership. She also devoted her time to her family as a homemaker.

A woman of deep and abiding faith, Sandra was a devoted member of the Chestnut Drive Church of Christ in Doraville, Georgia, and later the Savannah Church of Christ. She was an active participant in church life until her health declined and faithfully contributed to the missionary work supported by the Church of Christ, reflecting her lifelong commitment to service and spreading God’s word.

Sandra found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved gardening, cooking, thriftshopping, antiquing, and traveling, and she especially treasured time spent with her family. She will be remembered for her faith, determination, warmth, and the deep love she held for those closest to her.
