Sandy Holmes Schultheiss

Sandra Jeanne Holmes Schultheiss departed this life on June 7, 2026, at the age of 80 years, 2 months, and 28 days. Sandy was born on March 10, 1946, in Altadena, California, the daughter of the late Alice and Frank Holmes.

On November 20, 2010, Sandy was united in marriage to George Wesley Schultheiss, Jr.

After retiring from a fulfilling career with Ford Motor Credit, Sandy lived in Nevada and Arizona before finding her forever home in Savannah, Tennessee. There, she was an active and cherished member of the community, participating in the local quilting club and Republican Women's organizations. Sandy’s spunky nature will be remembered – she lived life courageously. Most of all, Sandy had a kind and generous heart and loved to spend time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her son Mike Dessy (Diana); and grandchildren, Jeff, Samantha, and Devin Dessy of Tucson, Arizona.

On May 12, 2021, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Wesley Schultheiss, Jr., a Vietnam veteran, and will be interred with him at the Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Parkers Crossroads, Tennessee.

In addition to her parents and husband, Sandy was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Holmes.
