Sandy McClain Jackson was born on February 27, 1963, in Chewalla, Tennessee, to the late Jimmie Atlas McClain and Edith Elisse Shelton McClain. She departed this life on October 8, 2026, in Jackson, Tennessee, at the age of 63.
Sandy was a one-of-a-kind woman who never met a stranger. She was known for her independent spirit, strong will, and ability to fix just about anything, including her own vehicles. She was a woman who could do things her own way and wasn't afraid to get her hands dirty.
She found joy in the simple things in life, including hunting, fishing, gardening, yard sales, cooking, and family get-togethers. Above all, she cherished spending time with her grandchildren, who brought so much happiness to her life. She also had a special love for her animals and carried on her mother's tradition of sewing. Sandy was especially known for her famous peanut butter cornflake cookies, a sweet treat that will always bring back loving memories of her.
Sandy is survived by her husband, Stacy Jackson; children: JR Faulkner, Sandy Parker and husband Daniel, Jessie Quarles and husband Ben; seven grandchildren: Hannah Wooley, Camden Wooley, Ashley Childers, Brody Faulkner, Connor Quarles, Jaysielyn Quarles, Benji Wayne Quarles; two great grandchildren, Holden and Hudson Wooley; two sisters, Terry Wilson and husband Mike, Tammy Jordan and husband Jason; father and mother-in-law, Dewey and Dorothy Leonard; and a host of nieces, nephews, close friends and extended family.
In addition to her parents, Sandy was preceded in death by a brother, Jimbo McClain; and a sister, Jeannie Hudson.
Pallbearers: Daniel Parker, Ben Quarles, Camden Wooley, Josh King, Bryan Jackson, Bradley Jackson, Benji Wayne Quarles
