Mrs. Wise passed away Monday, March 7, 2011 at Perry Community Hospital in Linden.
The widow of Frank Wise, who died August 8, 2008, she retired in 1991 as a recreational director for Nat T. Winston. Mrs. Wise was born October 24, 1935 in Fayette County to the late Edwin August Ferge and Julie Ethel Pittman Ferge and lived most of her life near Somerville. She was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Whiteville.
She is survived by a son and his wife, Thomas Edward Thompson and Jerri of Middleton; three daughters, Virginia Dale Cryer of Whitleyville, Carolyn Gail Rogers and her husband, L.A. of Somerville, Kathy Sue Boyd and her husband, Bill of Middleton; a step-son, Jerome Sanders of Sacramento, CA; three sisters, Geneva Crafton, Eva Thompson and Betty Rodgers, all of Somerville; two brothers, Bailey and Donald Ferge, both of Somerville; a former husband, Clifton Thompson of Somerville; six grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Sanders, who died in 1995; a son-in-law, Johnny Cryer; a sister, Velma Wilson; and two brothers, Jack and James Ferge.
