Sarah Stutts Borden

Sarah Stutts Borden was born January 11, 1934 in McNairy County, TN the daughter of the late Otis and Martha Bird Stutts.

She was united in marriage to Talmage Borden on October 10, 1954. Mr. Borden preceded her in death on September 23, 2006.

Mrs. Borden worked for 30 years at Brown Shoe Factory in the office as a bookkeeper. She attended church at Michie Baptist church and Liberty Church of Christ. She was an avid reader, loved her dogs, tending her flowers and garden, and listening to bluegrass music. She was a loving mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Borden departed this life on August 29, 2018 in Athens, Alabama at the age of 84 Years, 7 Months, 18 Days. She is survived by a daughter, Janet Borden and companion Bobby of Guys, TN; five sons, Anthony Borden and wife Teresa of Benton County, MS, Ronnie Borden and wife Michelle of Benton County, MS, Jerry Borden of Michie, TN, Windell Borden and wife Tracy of Michie, TN, Gary Borden of Michie, TN; 11 Grandchildren, 19 Great Grandchildren, 3 Great Great Grandchildren; two sisters, Ruby Lambert of Michie, TN, Betty Wages and husband Lewis of Rienzi, MS; a brother, James Stutts of Ramer, TN; and a host of extended family and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Borden was preceded in death by a daughter, Jacklyn Borden; two sisters, Shelby Comer, Peggy Grimes.
