Lexington: Ms. Sarah Ann Hicks, age 70, of Lexington, died early Friday morning, December 17, 2021 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

She was born May 12, 1951 in Henderson, TN the daughter of the late George Henry and Jewel Cayce Griffin Boyd. She grew up in Henderson and Adamsville.

She married Bill Parrott in 1969 and they made they had five children together. She later married Donnie Hicks and they also shared a daughter. She loved her role as a homemaker and mother.
She enjoyed walking, watching old movies and TV shows, reading (especially the Bible), playing the guitar and loved to sing.

She made her home in Lexington and attended The Shepherd's Church in Lexington.

She is survived by three sons Roger Parrot, Joey Parrott (Donna) and Michael Parrott all of Adamsville; three daughters Crystal Bennett, Diane Parrott both of Adamsville and Angela Hicks (Dewayne) of Decaturville; 14 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; three sisters Shelby Jean Chandler of Medina, Barbara Cole of Lexington, and Shirley Brooks of Jackson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers William Jerry, Kenneth, James, Dennis and Tommy Boyd; and a sister Charlene Green.

Graveside services will be 11:00 AM, December 21, 2021 at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Finger, TN with Miles Roberts officiating.
