SARAH MANESS
Henderson, TN: Sarah Bertha Tull Maness age 77 passed away Sunday, August 18, 2019 at her home, with her husband and children by her side.
She was born November 5, 1941 in McNairy County, the daughter of the late Gorland Flaborn and Graple Leaetta Dodd Tull. She attended schools in McNairy County and married Millard Ravon Maness in 1957. They made their home at Hickory Corner all their married life. She worked at Chester County Sportswear as supervisor of the pressing department for thirty-three years. She then worked at Delta Faucet, where she retired.
She loved gardening, always had a big garden and enjoyed canning and loved working in her flowers and always wanted to cook for her family.
She was a member of the New Home Baptist Church.
Mrs. Maness is survived by her husband, Ravon Maness of Henderson; a son, Michael Maness (Amy) of Henderson and two daughters, Debbie Hearn (Rickey) of Henderson and Cindy Brewer Melton (Mike) of Henderson; ten grandchildren, five great grandchildren and two on the way and three sisters, Marlene Smith, Brenda Hill and Vina Mehr all of Bethel Springs.
She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Danny Brewer in 1995.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 21, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Bro. Randy Smith and Bro. Gerald Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Little Hatchie Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday.
