Sarah June Sanders, 66, of Fort Payne, Alabama, died Monday, September 7, 2009 at De Kalb Regional Medical Center in Fort, Payne, Alabama.
The widow of Robert Sanders, who died January 24, 1998, she was a homemaker. She was born January 28, 1943 in Earle, Arkansas, daughter of the late Washington and Clara Mae Calvinder Prescott, and had lived in Hardeman County all of her married life. Her family stated that she loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren very much. Mrs. Sanders attended the Valley Head Baptist Church in Valley Head, Alabama.
Survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Vickey Evans and Ronnie of Henderson, TN, Teresa Benard and Edward of Fort Payne, AL; three sons and their wives, Robert Sanders Jr. and Beth of Toone, TN, Donald Sanders and Sherry of Hornsby, TN, Terry Sanders and Janice of Middleton, TN; two brothers, Willie and Billy Prescott, both of Naepanee, IN; five sisters, Jean Fryer of Covington, TN, Beth Manning of Pocahontas, AR, Mary Smith of Marion, AR, Blossom Northcutt of Russellville, AR, Sheila Coleman of Bolivar, TN; 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
