Mr. Plunk died early Saturday at Bolivar General Hospital.
A native of Selmer, he lived all his life in this area. He was the son of the late Fred Plunk, Jr. and Lou V. McGee Plunk. He married Patricia Parchman on November 16, 1973 after graduating from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville in 1972 with a degree in Civil Engineering. He worked for the Tennessee Department of Transportation as Director of Construction for West Tennessee. He was a faithful member of the Hornsby Baptist Church.
He leaves his wife, Patricia Parchman Plunk of Hornsby and his daughter Crystal Plunk Hill of Toone; his sister, Sherry Elmore of Columbus, MS; four grandchildren: Caroline and Colleen Avent; Carter and Cooper Hill.
