Henderson, TN: Joe Scotty Smith, Sr. age 75 passed away February 21, 2012 at the Chester County Healthcare.
He was born and reared in Chester County the Laurel Hill Community, the son of the late Azell and Jodie Mae Floyd Smith. He went to school in Chester County. He cut timber as a young man. He married Eva Rowland in 1998. He worked for the State Division of Forestry at Chickasaw as a dozier operator.
He is survived by his wife, Eva Mae Rowland Smith of Henderson; a daughter, Robin Burnes of Henderson and three sons, Joey Smith of Whiteville, Barry Smith and Lynn Smith both of Henderson; 11 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kim Smith and a sister, Luerene Smith Moore.
