It's with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Sharon Dyan Byrum of Leoma, TN. Sharon, born on November 10, 1954, in Florence, AL, was the daughter of the late William "Bill" J. Lee Hensley and Gerline Beavis Daniel. She passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love and creativity.
Sharon dedicated many years to her professional life, beginning as a drafter for the Department of Transportation (DOT) in Nashville, TN. She later transitioned to Collier Engineering Firm in Nashville, where she excelled as a manager and financial advisor.
A devout member of the Church of Christ, Sharon found solace and community in her faith. In December 1978, she married the love of her life, Donald Byrum, who survives her.
Sharon was a cherished mother to her son, Billy Crosby (Jessica) of St. Cloud, FL, and a loving stepmother to Shane Byrum (Lucy) of Tullahoma, TN. She adored her grandchildren: Brittany Poole McCoy, Angela Poole, Stacy Byrum Veachy (Stuart), Brandon Poole, Travis Byrum, and Troy Byrum. Her joy was further multiplied by five great-grandchildren, with another on the way.
She was preceded in death by her stepbrother, Craig Daniel, and her half-sister, Dedra Daniel McDonald, as well as her parents.
Sharon's passions were as vibrant as her spirit. An avid arts and crafts enthusiast, one of her remarkable drawings of a Boston Terrier graced the cover of Boston Quarterly Magazine. She also found immense joy in reading and researching health and medical journals, constantly expanding her knowledge. Her green thumb was evident in her love for gardening and growing flowers, creating beauty wherever she went.
Sharon will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
