Sheila Keough, age 58 of Pocahontas, TN, died Friday morning, September 25, 2015, at Magnolia Regional Hospital in Corinth, MS.
A native of Memphis, she was the daughter of the late James Boyd Hill and Mrs. Billie Irwin Hill Majors, who survives. She lived in Memphis until age 12 when she moved with her family to Bolivar. Mrs. Keough lived in Pocahontas since 1992.
A 1976 graduate of Bolivar Central High School, she had worked at the Hardeman County Correctional Facility as a Unit Manager for the past 18 years. Previously, she was employed by Brown Shoe Company in Selmer for 20 years. She was a member of the Essary Springs Baptist Church and on October 30, 2013, she was united in marriage to John David Keough. In her leisure time, she enjoyed sitting in her rocking chair on the front porch of her home watching the hummingbirds. She also enjoyed attending auctions, reading and studying her Bible and especially spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, David, of Pocahontas; three daughters, Melissa Martin and Latosha Sanders of Pocahontas and Tiffini Martin of Selmer; her mother, Billie Majors of Silerton; four sisters, Amber (Mike) Wiles of Nashville, Barbara (Jimmy) Brooks of Medon, Kelly (Rick) Craft of Maryville and Robbie Majors of Bolivar; three brothers, David and Larry Hill of Bolivar and Donnie Hill of Silerton; and six grandchildren, Jacob Warren, Jack and Stormy Watkins, Jeremiah, Taya and Jerry Tayden Sanders.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Boyd Hill; a sister, Patricia Farmer; two brothers, Gary and Mike Hill; and a grandchild, Thomas Hurley.
