Shelia Evonne (Pookie) Rickman was born June 6, 1953 in Bolivar, Tennessee the daughter of Rachel Kiser Griswell and the late Dub Kiser.



She was united in marriage to John Rickman on May 7, 2001. Mrs. Rickman was a housewife. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Selmer, Tennessee, she had accepted Jesus Christ as her Saviour and was baptized on March 16, 2011. She was devoted to her husband and loved him more than words could express. She was very proud of her grandchildren and loved them dearly. She enjoyed dancing, working in her flower gardens, a proud Democrat, and lived life on her terms.



Mrs. Rickman departed this life on April 10, 2011 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 57 Years, 10 Months, 4 Days. She is survived by her husband, John Rickman of Selmer, TN; mother, Rachel Kiser Griswell of Selmer, TN; three daughters, Hayley (Maxedon) Anderson and husband Paul of Selmer, TN, Sara (Maxedon) Ferrell of Selmer, TN, and Jessica Renee Rickman of Nashville, TN; two sons, David Clay Maxedon and wife Tonya of Corinth, MS, and Jay Rickman of Jackson, TN; nine grandchildren, Taylor Anderson, Nicholas Maxedon, Trevor Ferrell, Caroline Anderson, Anslee Ferrell, Jackson Anderson, Ava Claire Anderson, Alex Rickman, and Rhianna Rickman; three sisters, Sherry Sperling of Bethel Springs, TN, Mary Sue Crowe of Bethel Springs, TN, and Jimmie Burchette of Bethel Springs, TN; two brothers, Buddy Kiser of Jackson, TN, and Tony Kiser of Pocahontas, TN; brother-in-law, Buddy Rickman of Eastview, TN; sister-in-law, Sue Bevis; son-in-law, Chris Ferrell of Savannah, TN.
