SHERIFF MARK DAVIDSON



Henderson, TN: William Mark Davidson, age 46, passed away June 25, 2009 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville.



He was born and reared in Chester County the son of Jerry and Diane Hall Davidson. He graduated from Chester County High School in 1981. He did carpenter work with his uncle Willie Davidson and worked a short time at Proctor and Gamble. He began his Law Enforcement career with the City of Henderson Police Department and then with the Chester County Sheriff’s Department. He served as Deputy and then Investigator for Sheriff Eric Bell and Chief Deputy for Sheriff Paul Hodges. He was elected Chester County Sheriff in 2002 and was currently serving in his second term.



He was a member of the Tennessee Sheriff’s Association, a member of the Henderson Masonic Lodge and a member of the Cave Springs Baptist Church.



He was married to Nancy Bailey in 1998 and they made their home in Henderson. He and Nancy dated nine years prior to their marriage.



He is survived by his wife, Nancy Bailey Davidson; a son, Braden Davidson; a daughter, Ashley Davidson Brown and husband Hunter; his Father and Mother, Jerry and Diane Hall Davidson; a brother, Steven Davidson and wife Celinda; a grandson, Drew Brown and a niece, Alexis Davidson all of Henderson.
