Sherill Cummins

Sherill Diane Fielder Cummins was born on December 17, 1947 in Ferndale, MI, the daughter of the late Donald Reed and Louise H Davis Fielder. Sherill was united in marriage to Jerry Cummins on October 24, 1977 and he preceded her in death on December 20, 2015. Sherill dedicated years of service at the Social Security office and later as a builder at Maury Ohio Manufacturing Company. Beyond her professional endeavors, she found solace in the simple joys of shopping sprees and nurturing her beloved garden of flowers. Sherill departed this life on May 2, 2024 at her home at the age of 76 years, 4 months, and 15 days.

She is survived by a son, Brian Fielder; stepdaughters, Darla Sue Cummins and Penny Michelle Cummins; brother, Nathan James Fielder (Elena); sisters, Charlene May Weston (Donald), Debra Ann Killius (Gerald), and Justine Annette Malburg (David); sister-in-law, Sandra Fielder; and many nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews; six grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Sherill is preceded in death by her brothers, Donald Reed Fielder Jr. and Gary Duane Fielder.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm service time at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Collinwood, TN.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Collinwood, TN with Ricky Nelson officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens in Collinwood, TN with Shackelford Funeral Directors assisting the family.
