Sherrill Grace Rappuhn
Price
November 14, 1936 – April 16, 2026
Sherrill Grace Price, age 89, Pinson Tn. Went home to be with the Lord on 4/16/2026 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on 11/14/1936 in Melrose Park, Illinois lived a life rooted in faith, love, and her service to others. She was a devoted Christian woman that led her family not only with her words but by her Godly example.
She invited all the children in the neighborhood to church and would pick them up to make sure they made it. She also reminded her grandchildren and great-grandchildren when they did not make it to church that she missed them and hoped to see them next Sunday. She found great joy in the simple and meaningful moments of life.
Many will remember her sitting with a ball of yarn in hand crocheting gifts that would be cherished for Generations, or the many clocks around her house that were set for different times so she could hear all the chimes. Most of all around the dinner table, she made sure her family was fed while eating her own meal later so she could read the Bible to her children and grandchildren. Planting seeds of faith that will live on in those she loved.
Her life was a testament of compassion and selflessness. She opened her heart and home to many foster children over the years offering them not just shelter but stability, guidance and unconditional love. To them and her family, she was a source of strength, comfort, and the glue that held us together.
She was known for her strong will and determined spirit- stubborn at times but always grounded in love. Although she will be deeply missed, we find peace in knowing she is now resting in the arms of her savior reunited with loved ones that have gone before her.
Sherrill is survived by four sons, Kenny Price (Carol) of Pinson, Kevin Price (Karen) of Arizona, Keith Price (Aimee) of Sweetlips and Rick Price of North Jackson; three daughters, Cathy Mutter (Steve) and Chris Clesson (Jack) and Cyndi Taylor all of Pinson; eighteen grandchildren, Joe, Mike (Christine), Melissa (Michael), Jenny (Andy), Rick (Shana), Jimmy (Colleen), Shannon, Eric (Sarah), Ariel (Liam), Ashley (Andrew), Jeff (Sidney, Joshua, Michaela (Blake), Maddee, Noah and Megen (Caholis); forty one great grandchildren and sixteen great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Price in 1991, her parents and a brother, Raymond “Sunny” Rappuhn.
Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday April 21, 2026, at Ridgecrest Cemetery.
