Sherry Lynn Byrd

Sherry Lynn Byrd, 49 of Munford, TN was born November 11, 1968 in Hernando, MS. She departed this life on November 8, 2018 in Memphis, TN. She married in January of 1987 and graduated from Treadwell High School in the same year. Sherry worked in research at Viral Antigens for 10 years, also at Easyway Produce and Howard's Donuts over the years.

She was a member at Sycamore View Church of Christ and had attended Faith Fellowship both in Memphis. She was a homemaker and a caregiver for her grandson. Sherry was a loving person who everyone would go to for a laugh. She was always up for a joy ride and always had a smile on her face.

She is survived by her husband, Christopher Kirk; a daughter, Angel Kirk; a grandchild, Landon Singletary all of Munford; mother, Frances Head Byrd of Memphis; two sisters, Sharron Byrd of Nashville, TN, Shelia McDonald (Kelly) of Huntington, IN; a brother, Derek Byrd (Karrie) of Nashville, TN; and nieces, nephews and friends.

Sherry was preceded in death by her father, Franklin Dewey Byrd.

Visitation will be held on Sat. Nov 10, 2018 from 1 pm until services 3 pm at Berclair Church of Christ in Memphis, TN. Visitation on Sunday from 1 pm until services at 3 pm at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Selmer, TN. Burial will follow in the Eureka Cemetery at Pocahontas, TN.
