Sherry Tidwell DeBerry, 69, of Jackson, formerly of Brownsville, passed away Wednesday morning, March 2, 2011 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
She was born February 26, 1942 in Memphis to Ernestine Pyron Tidwell of Adamsville and the late George E. Tidwell, Jr. She worked as an administrative assistant for various companies for 25 years and attended Browns United Methodist Church in Madison County. She lived in Jackson for about 20 years and in Savannah from 2000 to 2002. She enjoyed sewing and embroidery, and dearly loved music, her dogs and her special girl friends. Her family states she was extremely creative and artistic. Ms. DeBerry attended Girls State in high school and was a graduate of Adamsville High School class of 1960.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by two sons, Greg DeBerry and Mark DeBerry, both of Jackson; a sister, Cathy Venable of Jackson; a brother, Steve Tidwell of Adamsville; a niece, Megan King; two nephews, Craig and Chad Tidwell; four great nieces, Olivia, Sayler and Tatum Tidwell and Kydal King; three great nephews, Chase and Sam Tidwell and Payton Rogers; and a dear friend, Doris Toole of Olive Branch, MS.
