Sherry Meek departed this life on Friday, November 1, 2013, at the age of 69 years, 9 months, 7 days.
She was born in Richmond, California on January 25, 1944, the daughter of the late Walter and Louise Harkey Taylor. On December 14, 1968, she was united in marriage to Charles "Chuck" Meek, who survives. Sherry had lived in Jackson, Mississippi for 10 years and in the Milledgeville, Tennessee area for 34 years. For 24 years, Sherry was the co-owner of White Oak Shell in Milledgeville. She loved her family, home, bird watching, and traveling. She was a member of the Tennessee Fuel and Convenience Store Association, McNairy County Forestry Association, and attended the First United Methodist Church in Adamsville, Tennessee.
Sherry is survived by her husband of 44 years, Chuck Meek of Adamsville, Tennessee; daughter, Mechale Brewer of Clarksville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Tim Lard of Adamsville, Tennessee, Rick Finley of Selmer, Tennessee, Molly Brewer and Kara Brewer both of Clarksville, Tennessee; great grandchildren, Kai Finley and Jayden Lard; sister, Sandy Guthrie of Memphis, Tennessee; brothers, Bob Taylor of Olive Branch, Mississippi and Philip Taylor of Germantown, Tennessee.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Robin Finley.
