Shirley Fay Breland Baldwin

August 7, 1936 — November 19, 2019

Shirley Fay Breland Baldwin was born August 7, 1936 in Mathiston, MS the daughter of the late Wilburn Breland and Johnnie Atkins Everett.

She was united in marriage to I. B. Baldwin on December 12, 1952. Mr. Baldwin preceded her in death on August 5, 2013.

Mrs. Baldwin was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Along with these precious titles came an abundance of love, understanding, adventures, and stories. She was a wonderful storyteller often reminiscing of family and friends and sometimes including a local history lesson. She was an avid reader, seamstress, vegetable gardener, and an amazing cook. Her kitchen was always open and her table was full of home cooked dishes prepared with the recipes in her head. She was known to cook a second meal if her grandchildren wanted something else.

Mrs. Baldwin had worked at John Gaston Hospital in Memphis as central supply technician. She worked other jobs throughout the years but her favorite was being "the babysitter" to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was the grandmother that chased trains, built forts and chicken coops, allowed cookies all day, and showed you how to make the perfect biscuit. Her table was full of hot biscuits, scrambled eggs that only a grandmother could fix and a platter full of bacon all cooked with love for her grandchildren and children.

Mrs. Baldwin departed this life on November 19, 2019 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 83 Years, 3 Months, 12 Days. She is survived by two daughters, Rhonda Park (Tim) of Pocahontas, TN, Cindy Cruse (Tim) of Eastview, TN; a son, Gary Allen Baldwin (Janet) of Bartlett, TN; a brother, Ronnie Everett of Bossier City, LA; three grandchildren, Tim Park Jr. (Machelle), Sharon (Park) Koon Lehmann (Anthony), Jason Cruse (Jade); eight great grandchildren, Kayla Park Hammons (Austin), Kendall Park, Jade Lehmann, Ethan Koon, Jaydon Cruse, Taylor Lehmann, Jett Cruse, Kayla Hatch; and a host of extended family and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Baldwin was preceded in death by her stepfather, Boss Everett; a grandson, Bryan Woodrow Cruse; a sister, Dorothy Gilliam.
