Shirley Ann (Dottie) Banks was born on February 4, 1948 in Savannah, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Loyd and Lela DuBoise Davis.
On July 1, 1967, she was united in marriage to James Douglas Banks, who preceded his wife in death on September 18, 1995.
Dottie was of the Pentecostal belief and lived in Hardin and McNairy Counties throughout her life. She worked as a machine operator for Engineering Plastic for 3 years. Dottie loved gardening and her grandchildren. She had a kind soul and never hurt anyone.
Shirley Ann (Dottie) Banks departed this life on August 26, 2021 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 73 years, 6 months, and 22 days.
She is survived by her daughters, Angela Barnett and her husband Scotty of Adamsville, Tennessee and Pamela Banks and her husband Dan of Pickwick, Tennessee; son, Michael Banks and his wife Tiffanie Banks of Adamsville, Tennessee; grandchildren, David Bates and his wife Tammy of Adamsville, Tennessee, Holly Artis of Roy, Utah, Nicki Wardlow of Michie, Tennessee, Andrea Bermudez of Roy, Utah, Magan Wardlow of Adamsville, Tennessee, James Morris of Pickwick, Tennessee, Dillon Wardlow of Jackson, Tennessee, Slater Morris of Pickwick, Tennessee, Dakota Banks and his fiancee Demi Milford of Adamsville, Tennessee, Michaela Banks of Adamsville, Tennessee, Brock Stone of Adamsville, Tennessee, and Legend Banks of Adamsville, Tennessee; 13 great grandchildren; sisters, Lillian Davis of Adamsville, Tennessee, Ellen Wilkerson and her husband James of Crump, Tennessee, Debbie Warren and her husband Randall of Crump, Tennessee, Teresa Lish and her husband Todd of Humboldt, Tennessee, and Samantha Buttram of Humboldt, Tennessee; brothers, Leland (Bo) Davis and his wife Lisa, Donnie Davis and his wife Charlotte, Ronald Davis and his wife Jana, and Loyd Davis, all of Savannah, Tennessee; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Dottie was preceded in death by her daughter, Kimberly Wardlow.
