Shirley Sue Hazel

Shirley Sue Hazel departed this life on Saturday, December 19, 2015, at the age of 76 years, 10 months, 6 days. She was born in Hardin County, Tennessee the daughter of the late Richard and Pearlie Hardin Newman.

Shirley had lived in Arizona, Texas, and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma where she had worked as a CNA at Cotner's Nursing Home. She loved her grandkids, her two dogs, and animals . She enjoyed spending time with family and was a good hearted person who would go out of her way to help others.

She is survived by her children, Bobby Sharp of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Francis Smith of Oklahoma, Cecil Joe Sharp of Jackson, Tennessee, Donna Janes of Walnut, Mississippi, Jan Rickman of Michie, Tennessee, Tonie Louise Russell of Savannah, Tennessee, Wanda Bascomb of Iuka, Mississippi, and George Hazel of Adamsville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Terry Russell, James Russell, Susan Russell, Jessica Russell, Samantha Russell, Cody Bascomb, Casey Bascomb, Alexis Hazel, David Hazel, Brian Harville, Jonathan Couples, and Richard Deshazier; great granddaughter, Emma Marie Russell; brother, Donnie Bill Newman of Savannah, Tennessee; sisters, Ann Humphrey and Gwenda Newman both of Savannah, Tennessee.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, David Sharp; grandchild, Ronald Ray Smith; brothers, J.C. and Terry Newman; sisters, Jean Stewart, Ruby Davis, and Katie Parrot.
